The Himalaya Chyavanaprasha Cup for the BT Ramaiah Shield U-15 inter-school cricket tourney will start in Bangalore from July 27, reports DHNS.

A record 103 teams have entered, and the top 16 teams from last year have been directly seeded to the second phase. The rest of the teams will be divided into 29 groups and will play in a league-cum-knockout format.

After Bangalore, the tournament will be held in Hyderabad, Delhi, Lucknow / Kanpur, Jamshedpur / Ranchi /Bokaro. The winning team in each city will compete for the Himalaya Chyavanaprasha Champions Trophy to be held in Bangalore from January 19.
