Herbal healthcare major The Himalaya Drug Company on Tuesday announced the launch of "Himalaya Hair Loss Cream".

Speaking to Express, Soumitro Banerji, Business Head, Personal Care Division, Himalaya, said, "It helps in enhancing follicular density and in improving tensile strength of hair." The price is Rs 185 for 50 ml and Rs 330 for a 100ml pack.

"Because of the credibility issue of hair loss products, we will go in for sampling as an initial marketing strategy. The sampling, to start in April, will be in 10,000 outlets and chemists across India,"said Banerji, adding, "We will spend about Rs 2 crore in the first year for advertising and Rs 1 crore for below-the-line activities".
