Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday after launching the new products, Mr. Ravi Prasad, President and Chief Executive Officer of the company said: "our other products - Forest Honey and Throat Lozenges - are popular in Middle East and Far East countries. With the launch of these new products, we expect our exports to grow 15-18 percent. During the last fiscal, we had exported Rs. 50 crore worth of products."

Prasad said the Consumer Health division had contributed Rs.45 crore revenue to the company's total revenue of Rs.350 crore during the financial year 2003-04. "We are targeting a 50 percent growth from this division and the new products to contribute Rs.7-8 crore revenue during this financial year," he said.

Stating that Shahicool herbal sharbat contains a unique blend of time-tested herbs, he said the sharbat is also known for its medicinal properties such as blood purifier, curing heat illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heat cramps, fluid imbalances, dyspepsia, flatulence, fatigue and anorexia. "We had worked for four years to bring out this product," he said.

On the success of the Gripe Water, he said the company is optimistic on its success in spite of stiff competition from other companies. "Our product contains no sodium bicarbonate, alcohol and chemicals. It helps in relieving infants from problems of indigestion, hiccups and colic," he said.

The company had launched pure herbs, forest honey, throat lozenges and Chyavanaprasha earlier." We have extended contract with cricketers Yuvaraj Singh and Zaheer Khan, brand ambassadors for the company's product Chyavanaprasha, for one more year," he said.

While Shahicool herbal sharbat is priced at Rs.70 for a 700 ml bottle, Gripe Water costs Rs.28 for
