In alignment with the global brand unification
exercise, Himalaya Ayurvedic Concepts in India has been re-christened
as Himalaya Herbals. The personal care range now portrays a new
global look.
The company has taken a strategic move to
adorn a new image to compete with international brands in India,
USA, South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
"Himalaya Herbals is distinctively designed and packaged. It
not only augments the brand personality but also makes it visually
powerful," informed Soumitro Banerji, business head, Personal
Care Division, The Himalaya Drug Company.
"The
'Himalaya' brand name enjoys a strong equity both with doctors and
consumers across the world. The recent initiative is in sync with
our global brand unification exercise and is a logical extension
in making Himalaya a world-class brand. The new look would enhance
the brand value and enable us to compete with the best brands in
both the domestic and international markets," he said.
The products in the Himalaya Herbals range
consists of natural herbal based products including hair care, skin
care, body care, health care and oral care. All its formulations
are subject to primary research of up to ten years before the final
product reaches the consumer. It is this emphasis on research and
stringent quality standards that has led over 200, 000 doctors worldwide
to endorse Himalaya products, he said.
