Herbal Healthcare has introduced Himplasia, an effective, safe and
clinically proven solution for BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia),
which affects around 25 per cent of men aged over 40 years and almost
one in every three men over 65 years..
Philipe J Haydon, General Manager - Pharma Marketing, The Himalaya
Herbal Healthcare said that current treatment for BPH has a lot
of limitations. A patient not only faces the problem of non-compliance,
escalating cost and side effects in a drug therapy but also faces
limitations of a surgical procedure, which includes hospitalization,
blood transfusion, urinary tract infection, urethral stricture and
development of urinary incontinence. "Considering these facts,
Himalaya has introduced Himplasia to provide relief with no side-effects
and improve the quality of life."
Himplasia is produced combining herbs like Tribulus terrestris,
Caesalpinia bonducella, Areca catechu, Asparagus racemosus and Crataeva
nurvala. It acts by inhibiting the enzyme 5 alpha reductase that
is responsible for the conversion of testosterone and also possesses
alpha-receptor blocking activity, thereby relieving individuals
with BPH from both irritative (urinary frequency, nocturia) and
obstructive (hesitancy, poor and intermittent flow, incontinence)
symptoms. Further, it improves the peak flow rate and significant
reduction in the prostatic weight. "All these factors lead
to an overall improvement in the individual's quality of life,"
informed Haydon.
Himplasia is available in a strip of 30 tablets priced at Rs.3.00
per tablet and the recommended dosage is two tablets a day.
Since 1930, Himalaya has pioneered the use of modern science to
rediscover and validate Ayurveda's secrets. Today, its products
serve the health and personal care needs of consumers in over 55
countries including USA, UK, Holland, Switzerland and Belgium. "All
our formulations of Himalaya are subject to primary research for
up to 10 years before it reaches the consumer as the final product.
It is this emphasis on research and stringent quality standards
that has led 200,000 doctors worldwide to endorse Himalaya products,"
said Haydon.
