Just the right dose

From next month, you will see another Chyavanaprasha from Himalaya Drugs flooding the market light-brown coloured, tasting like elaichi and cardamom mixed with honey, thin and sweet. It would initially come in 500 gms, priced at Rs.110 in a sleek jar of vibrant colours. What's important is ace cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan, the brand ambassador for the newly launched product for a year, and a 'dadima', motivating you to have it for "Sehat ho ya Kamyabi … No Shortcuts" as the slogan compliments the ad. The launch was announced at New Delhi's Taj Mahal hotel this week.

Better health, better care ...
with Himalaya

Claiming to have worked on it for 10 years as it takes time to procure natural herbs during flowering season, Ravi Prasad, the CEO of the company says, "We have been cultivating our own herbs in Southern India, Dehra Dun and North East dealing directly with farmers. Hence, the chyavanaprasha is a result of an amalgam of 48 herbs, promising to be an adaptogenic, immunomodulator and health promoter".

The company which has a range of personal care, animal health, single herb and medicinal products since 1972 and selling across 55 countries, claims that it consulted doctors from " all major medical institutes and universities in India and abroad to determine the efficacy of the product which has no side affects at all", as Dr.S K Mitra, the Executive Director puts it.

"We are marketing a heritage by contemporising it. It is bringing the product as the way it evolved thousands of years back, the way it is meant to be", reasons Prasad for bringing the product amid another similar product already flocking the market with many broad claims. "Our USP would be its taste, colour and nutritive value", he adds.
