Himalaya launched its first concept boutique in Jakarta, Indonesia at Mall Taman Anggrek, a premium shopping destination in the country with over two large department stores, 400 shops including top brands like The Body Shop, Aigner, Montblanc and others, 85 restaurants & eateries, an ice-rink and Cineplex.

Inaugurated by Philipe Haydon, President & CEO- Pharmaceuticals, Asia Pacific, The Himalaya Drug Company & His Excellency, Biren Nanda, Ambassador of India to Indonesia , the event was attended by members of the press and local celebrities. Speaking at the launch, Biren Nanda touched on the contribution made by Himalaya in contemporizing Ayurveda. While interacting with the press, Philipe highlighted the huge potential of the Indonesian market. Apart from a large population and vast geographic territory, Indonesia also has a rich tradition of herbal medicine, making it receptive to Himalaya 's well-researched herbal healthcare products.
