Imagine waking up one day to a world without flowers and trees. A world where our children will never know the joy of a Sunday picnic under the shade of a banyan tree or the thrill of discovering an extraordinarily colored rose. A world where forests are a distant memory. Just the thought is enough to shake us out of our present reverie and spring us into action!
As a popular Native American Indian saying goes - "Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money."
Himalaya has been in the business of researching nature for decades. Our long history of working with nature has taught us that every tiny flower, leaf, or root is invaluable. Perhaps it hides within itself a cure for cancer or an answer to aging! Who knows? Nature never ceases to amaze us and even after 75 years of history behind us, we are always surprised by her immense wealth and treasure.
We understand the earth and are aware of the damage being done to her. If we are to mitigate the effects of environmental degradation, we must act as 'one' & we must act 'now'!
